Sharps Container Cabinets
Consider the sharps container cabinet before choosing a container

Unlike plastic cabinets, Post Medical’s customers have the option to choose from a number of steel materials and color options for their secure sharps wall mount enclosure. These options can complement a variety of interior and exterior environments. Choose from polished 304 stainless steel or all-weather rust-resistant carbonless steel to a powder-coated finished steel selected specifically for indoor or outdoor placement.
Powder Coated Grey Steel, Stainless Steel, Powder Coated Amber, and Powder Coated Glacier White finishes are designed to be an attractive enhancement to any clinical or non-clinical environment.
Unlike standard plastic cabinets, Post Medical utilizes solid steel material (not a metal veneer) secured behind a variety of lock options that include electronic key/locks (coming soon), tubular, or flat based on the security needs of the customer.
Polished 304 Stainless Steel is the “gold standard” for delivering rust protection, antibacterial properties, and stain resistance. This type of surface treatment and material built into our sharps container wall mounts delivers easy cleaning that is essential for use in clinical environments with high-touch surfaces.
When combined with our 16 or 18 gauge material (not a veneer), you have an even more durable, cost-effective solution protecting against unwanted access, rust, and stains.
Post Medical is one of the few sharps container wall mount cabinet vendors to offer a polished stainless steel line of cabinets.
Note: Stainless Steel Cabinets can have a lead time for delivery of 8 weeks.

Unlike standard plastic cabinets, Post Medical utilizes solid steel materials (not a metal veneer) for our sharps container wall mounted cabinets. Each cabinet door is secured behind a flat key lock anchored into steel housing, ensuring effective access control.
Flat key locks for your sharps disposal system offer the most economical and effective access control option due to the security of mounting the cylinder key lock onto a 100% solid steel housing.
Our touchless vertical drop method for large sharps container wall mounts utilizes a drop tube that mitigates the possibility of touch contamination and cross-contamination risks tied to high-touch surfaces
We offer 16- and 18-gauge steel material for more durable cabinets and sharps container brackets that are easy to clean, long-lasting, and secure compared to any standard plastic enclosure
Enjoy the confidence that your hospital sharps disposal containers are protected behind the most secure access control cabinet in the industry. Our cabinets feature a cylinder lock encased in steel housing and a robust 4-point grommet system on the steel (not plastic) back plate, designed to securely anchor into your wall frame, mitigating forced removal.
Our polished stainless steel or powder-coated cabinets offer antibacterial properties and rust resistance exceeding OSHA/DEA guidelines for sharps cabinets
Material options include 304 stainless steel, known as the industry standard for mitigating bacteria formation on high-touch devices, including sharps container wall mounts
Rust-resistant stainless steel material combined with our unique design features makes an ideal biohazard cabinet for placement in any park or outdoor venue, making clinical sharps disposal simple
Rugged solid steel back plate cut-outs make these sharps cabinets and mounts easy to install on any wall surface, yet secure to discourage forced removal
Because our needle disposal boxes are 100% made in the USA, they’re not subject to the added costs of recent international tariffs.
Unlike standard mechanical door levers that require users to “lift to assure disposal,” our touchless vertical drop dental sharps disposal method for sharps cabinets and mounts employs a drop tube to minimize touchpoints and reduce cross-contamination risks associated with high-touch surfaces.
All of our stainless steel sharps container wall mounted cabinets feature a laser-cutout biohazard symbol. Designed to enhance visibility to the container label for "fill line" recognition, the cut-out helps eliminate the need for silk-screened or adhesive biohazard labels that can contribute to surface bacteria formation.
All Post Medical sharps container wall mount cabinets are designed to work specifically with our plastic sharps bin containers. After selecting your wall-mounted cabinet, choose the compatible biohazard sharps container option for easy storage. With our USA-made products and generous warranties, you can expect unrivaled durability, convenience, and security from all our products. Post Medical has been committed to USA-based manufacturing since 1982, a decision that continues to shape our success today. Building and producing our sharps cabinets and mounts domestically not only ensures consistent quality but also allows us to respond quickly to evolving customer needs. By keeping our supply chain close to home, we avoid the delays, added costs, and uncertainties often associated with overseas production, including tariffs, long-distance shipping, and customs-related disruptions.
Sharps cabinets and mounts must be placed at a height that’s convenient for staff to use. See OSHA/CDC Guidelines for details.
Height requirements for sharps containers are determined by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, and they vary depending on whether the container is near a desk or not. For seated workspaces, the recommendation is that sharps container wall mount cabinets sit between 38” and 42” high. For standing workspaces, sharps containers should be mounted between 52” and 56” away from the floor.
The best location for sharps cabinets and mounts is in areas where they are at a safe, usable height and easily accessible for staff performing procedures that require safe disposal. You may need to place a sharps container in each exam room, at every phlebotomy station, and in various areas around laboratory spaces.
