Solutions For Diabetic Patients – Usage
Diabetic Needle Disposal Usage
Insert—Twist—Done!
As shown in the video clip to the left, disposing of your used insulin syringes with The Voyager could not be quicker and easier:
- Remove The Voyager’s protective top. The top acts as a base for upright stability.
- Insert the syringe needle-first into the opening.
- Twist the burgundy-colored cap one-quarter turn to the clockwise, then return it to the original position.
- Remove the disabled syringe barrel and replace the protective top.
That’s it. The Voyager severs the needle above the black plunger. The entire needle then falls into the chamber. The syringe is permanently disabled and can be discarded in household trash or plastic recycling where applicable. Since The Voyager holds 100-120 needle tips, a single unit can last for several weeks or longer, depending on usage, as shown in the Voyager diabetes needles disposal specs.
Eliminates Unnecessary Handling
Unlike some disposal methods that require post-usage handling of the needle and syringe with scissors or transporting the used syringe to a larger collecting vessel, The Voyager is compact enough to be right there when and where you need it. No wonder so many diabetics use The Voyager as their daily diabetic needle disposal solution!
